Ajay Devgn and Mrunal Thakur’s comedy drama ‘Son of Sardaar 2’ has registered an impressive first weekend at the Indian box office. Released on 1 August 2025, the film has steadily gained momentum despite opening to mixed reviews.
According to early estimates from Sacnilk, the film minted ₹9.25 crore on Sunday (Day 3), pushing its total to ₹24.75 crore in just three days.

While ‘Son of Sardaar 2’ is surging, ‘Dhadak 2’, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, trailed with a total weekend collection of ₹11.50 crore — less than half of Devgn’s film.
Meanwhile, ‘Saiyaara’, featuring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, continued to draw strong crowds, earning ₹8 crore on Sunday. Though edged out by ‘Son of Sardaar 2’ for the day, it remains a strong performer.
